Our First Dance as Husband & Wife

It's been a bit of a struggle to find the time for dance lessons among the planning and vacations we've had this summer. We definitely waited until the last minute. Being a dance teacher, I think most people are expecting a great first dance out of us.

Unlike many of the things we've planned for the wedding, the first dance is going to be a little more traditional. We have decided to do a waltz to "At Last" by Etta James. We've taken a couple classes so far and are having a blast. Ben wouldn't admit it out loud, but he's having fun too.

Although, he has decided we are not going back to the Monday night class. Last time the instructor couldn't stop gushing about Ben's muscles, big chest, and gorgeousness. (Is that a word...spell check says it is) I think all those things too, but I think he felt a little uncomfortable. Not to mention, the instructor giving him a hard time, every time he did the wrong step.

We're going to give Thursday's couples only class a try this week and see if we can learn a little bit more before the wedding. Ben says he wants to learn a cool spin. The hardest part for me, is not leading. The instructor told me I needed to stop trying to take his job, and let him be the man!

I hope this goes well....it's a little hard to practice in our condo filled with wedding stuff and suitcases!
